Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Code4U ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you visit https://code4u.app (the "Site"). Code4U is a software studio based in Coquitlam, BC, Canada.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to provide, plus limited technical data needed to run and improve the Site:

• Contact form: when you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, the project type you select, and the contents of your message so we can reply.
• Newsletter: if you subscribe to the AI Daily Digest, we collect your email address so we can send it to you.
• Analytics: with your consent, we collect standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, referrer, and device/browser type.
• Cookies and local storage: we store your cookie choice on your device, and set analytics cookies only if you accept (see the Cookies section below).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not collect sensitive categories of data.

How we use your information

• To respond to enquiries and provide the services you request.
• To send the AI Daily Digest newsletter to subscribers (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To understand how the Site is used so we can improve its content and performance.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the Site.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, we ask for your cookie preference and store that choice in your browser's local storage. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the Site continues to work normally.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics to measure Site usage. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes usage data on our behalf. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Service providers we use

We share the minimum data necessary with trusted providers that help us operate the Site. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms:

• Resend: delivers our contact-form and newsletter emails.
• Google Analytics: measures Site usage, only with your consent.
• Vercel: hosts the Site and processes standard server request logs.

Data retention

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records of it. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's standard retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for analytics or the newsletter.

To exercise any of these rights, email Ronald@code4u.app and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.

Third-party links

The Site links to other websites, including our own projects and external sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; we encourage you to read their policies.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general, business audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
